After 15 years at the City College of San Francisco’s SFO Airport campus, we are saying, “Goodbye”. Shelves have been put away and are in the process of packing. Our new location is uncertain so we will need to liquidate our entire stock.

We have some great items ready for you at our SFO location and can always use volunteers for the Friday set-up. And speaking of locations, the Depot will be moving from our City College of San Francisco Airport Campus location on or before May of 2017. More details below.
Our SoCal Depot will have their Open House on Feb. 25th from 10 AM to 1 PM. Contact Kari or Emalee about donations for the SoCal area.

The Depot is Moving
After 15 years at CCSF’s airport campus, the Bio-Link Depot, Inc. (Depot) agreement to use part of the campus for educational equipment storage and donation operations, has ended.
This will provide the Depot the opportunity to move to a new site that better matches it’s significantly expanded activity, and to better collaborate with synergistic programs at community colleges and other educational non-profits. About 3 years ago, an advisory committee was formed, anticipating a new site was needed, to better sustain and expand the Depot’s operations, and to provide a template for Depot’s in other regions to form. This advisory committee resulted in the formation of the new 501c3 nonprofit, Bio-Link Depot, Inc.
The Depot in now searching for a new site for our anticipated move, on or before May 2017. If you would like to help with our relocation efforts you can contact Daniel Michael.
The first SoCal Bio-Link Depot Open House on December 10th, 2016 was a great success with a teacher attendance of 43 with 32 schools participating, including several from the San Diego area. We outreached to 228 teachers of which 194 subscribed to the MailChimp list within the month of November and December 2016. This was the fastest build-up of our mailing list since we started the Depot! Congratulations to Emalee, Kari, the Irvine Valley College team, volunteers and donors that mad that happen.
The SoCal team are busy building inventory for the next Open House on February 25th from 10 AM to 1 PM. Contact Kari if you would like to volunteer your time or donate equipment or supplies.

Thanks so much for a enormously successful Bio-Link Depot Open House in Southern California at Irvine Valley College! Partnered with ATEP-Advanced Technology & Education Park, National Science Foundation (NSF), Edwards Lifesciences. Irvine Valley College is hosting it’s first Open House!
Saturday, December 10th from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Thanks to all the teachers that have registered to participate in our first SoCal Bio-Link Depot.
We have been collecting and gathering lab and science equipment from participating companies and schools to distribute to teachers of Southern California.
We have partnered with Bio-Link Depot of San Fransisco and are excited to get you teachers the tools you need for your classroom. FOR FREE!

Genentech’s Great Lab Giveaway is November 5th, 2016
Dear Depot Educators,
Genentech has so much supplies that they are having their own Give-Away called Genentech’s Great Lab Supply Giveaway. They are excited to support Bay Area educators by giving them the opportunity to select free supplies for their science classrooms and labs from their excess inventory on Saturday, November 5th, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm.
They will have consumable supplies for general science such as gloves, pipettes, tips, filters and flasks, Biotech-specific supplies (well plates & tissue culture materials) and a selection of benchtop equipment.
This event is for teachers & administrators only, and all attendees must register and complete a liability waiver before October 31. Capacity is limited to the first 200 teachers who register, so spread the word:

Sign-Up to Volunteer Now
Volunteer to organize the outside area, dumping unneeded supplies, sorting and consolidating containers. If time permits, we will also organize within the trailer and storage containers. We will also pull carts our into the hallway from the lab, sort and organize equipment and glassware onto shelves. If we meet our goals, we can allow you to take 1 box of supplies during the last 30 minutes of our clean-up. Hope to see you soon!
