A big THANK YOU goes out to the City College of San Francisco Chinatown Campus Community Service ESL student volunteers who spent hours on St. Patrick’s Day cleaning and organizing the Depot ahead of our March Open House. Check out the great pictures HERE.

UCSF Delivers a Truckload

After the March Open House, Delancey Street Movers delivered a truckload of large equipment and smaller supplies from lab breakdown at UCSF Laurel Heights. The delivery included refrigerators, centrifuges, cabinets, glassware and many other items. It’s first-come, first serve at our May Open House, so BYOT (bring your own truck).

 Depot Becomes Nonprofit

The Depot started in 2002 and has been operated by City College of San Francisco through the Bio-Link ever since. But, as of March 2016, we have incorporated the Depot as its own nonprofit. This opens up the Depot for direct donations, grants and expansion to other locations. Thanks Latham & Watkins for helping us with our application!

The UCSF Office of Sustainability has written a great article on the Depot and it’s progress towards zero waste. Thanks goes out to Deborah Fleischer who took the time to interview us and for putting the word out with the larger UCSF community. And in case you did not catch the KPIX news story about the Depot, you can click on this link–>KPIX News story.

Thanks, Latham & Watkins!

Thanks to Latham & Watkins for helping Bio-Link Depot, Inc. to become its own non-profit!
